Romantasy is on the rise and everyone is talking about it!

If you haven’t heard of Romantasy or aren’t quite sure what it is, it is a sub-genre of fiction that combines romance and fantasy.

Why is it so popular?

Because it takes the often hard to digest genre of fantasy and adds a romantic subplot that makes it more appealing to women.

I’ve included a spice rating to help you choose books that you’ll feel comfortable reading. Here is an overview of the rating system:

🌶️ – No sex on the page. Caps at glimpses and kissing.

🌶️🌶️ – Intimate scenes may occur but you won’t have to read them.

🌶️🌶️🌶️ – Minimum of one explicit scene with reasonable descriptions.

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ – Minimum of two explicit scenes with descriptive language and strong depictions of sexual acts.

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ – Several explicit scenes with a variety of sexual acts that are vividly portrayed.
