Ingredients

Dry

4  Tbsp Flour

2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder (milk or dark)

3 Tbsp Sugar

1/3 Tsp Baking Powder

A pinch of salt

Wet

4 Tbsp Milk

1 1/2 Tbsp Oil

Chocolate Chips to taste

Topping (optional)

Melted chocolate of choice
Mix in powdered sugar until thick

Instructions

1. Mix the Dry Ingredients:
– In a microwave-safe mug, combine the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to ensure everything is evenly distributed.

2. Add the Wet Ingredients:
– Pour in the milk and oil into the mug with the dry ingredients. Stir until the batter is smooth and no lumps remain.

3. Add Chocolate Chips:
– Fold in the chocolate chips according to your taste preference. They’ll melt slightly when the cake is cooked, adding a gooey texture.

4. Microwave:
– Place the mug in the microwave and cook on high for about 1 minute to 1 minute and 30 seconds. The cooking time may vary depending on your microwave’s power. Start with 1 minute and check if it’s done. The cake should be set but still moist.

5. Prepare the Topping (Optional):
– While the mug cake is cooling slightly, melt your chocolate of choice in a small bowl in the microwave (about 15-20 seconds). Stir in powdered sugar until it thickens to your liking.
