Selena + Chef’s Cinnamon Sugar Dusted Bunuelos

Step 1: Using cookie cutters or a knife, cut out shapes from tortillas.
Step 2: In a small bowl, stir together sugar and cinnamon until mixed thoroughly.
Step 3: In a media heavy-bottomed saucepan add enough oil to come up halfway up the sides of the pan. Heat over medium heat until oil temperature reached 350 degrees. Line a plate with paper towels, set aside.
Step 4: Working in batches, fry tortillas until golden brown, about 2 minutes depending on the size and shape. Using a slotted spoon or tongs, remove from oil and place on a prepared plate to drain slightly. Toss in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
