Double Chunk Chocolate Cookie

There’s nothing quite like a warm, chewy chocolate chip cookie straight from the oven. The addition of chocolate chunks on top before baking takes these classic treats to the next level, creating an irresistible dessert that is sure to be a favorite for any occasion.

Ingredients

1 cup Crisco

3/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

2 eggs

2 eggs

2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

2 cups chocolate chips

Extra chocolate chunks (for topping)

Eggless Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the Crisco, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7.  Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
  8.  Top each cookie with extra chocolate chunks before baking.
  9.  Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers should still be soft.
  10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
