Easy Pizza Crust Recipe
If you’ve ever craved a pizza but the thought of kneading dough seemed like a workout plan you didn’t sign up for, this easy pizza crust is for you. No fancy ingredients, no long rise times—just a quick, fuss-free crust that gets you to cheesy, saucy goodness in no time.
Ingredients
- 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1 ½ cups warm water (about 110°F, or comfortably warm to the touch)
- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
Instructions
- Activate the yeast: In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and sugar, then sprinkle the yeast on top. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes, until foamy.
- Make the dough: Add the olive oil, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture. Stir until it forms a rough dough, then turn it onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 3-5 minutes until smooth.
- Rest the dough: Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rest for 15-30 minutes. This short rest will help it become slightly fluffy.
- Roll and shape: Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the dough to your preferred thickness on a floured surface, then transfer to a pizza pan or baking sheet.
- Top and bake: Add your favorite toppings and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
