Ingredients
- 1 pack of 12 dinner rolls (arranged in a 4×3 layout)
- 1 lb ground turkey or lean ground beef
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices fat-free cheese (cut to fit slider patties)
- Condiments (choose 4 for variety): ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, hummus, guacamole, sriracha mayo, or pesto
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (or butter substitute)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
- Prepare the Patties:
- In a bowl, mix ground meat with onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions. Shape each into a long rectangle that’s 3 rolls wide by 1 roll tall.
- Cook the Patties:
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook each patty until browned and fully cooked, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Assemble the Sliders:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Arrange the patties on top, aligning each one to cover three rolls.
- Add a dollop of a different condiment on each roll section, then top with fat-free cheese slices.
- Top It Off:
- Place the top halves of the rolls over the patties.
- Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in minced garlic and parsley. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.
- Bake:
- Cover the pan loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to toast the tops.
- Serve:
- Let cool slightly, then cut into individual sliders along the roll seams.
