WFH Set-Up Inspo
These next couple videos will inspire you on your journey to figuring out the ideal work set-up for your lifestyle and goals.
If you’re considering getting a walking pad: watch these videos first.
These next couple videos will give you a realistic idea of what it’s like to try using a walking pad while working. I personally LOVE my walking pad and use it probably 4 out of 5 days of the week to get in 8-10K steps. This is a huge improvement from the few hundred steps I was getting before purchasing one. I of course, had to upgrade to a standing desk as well in order to work while walking. It was a hefty initial investment but so worth it to me.
I will say, if you’re not a consistent person, this might not be for you. I can easily see it as something a lot of people will be excited to use at first, but will be pushed off to the corner to collect dust after the novelty wears off.
Movement while working:
- Increases alertness and focus
-
Improves cognition
-
No difference between treadmill and cycling.
-
Improves attention and cognitive control scores. But it worsens verbal memory.
-
Good for analytical work. But not for verbal work.
-
Quiets fear, anxiety and vigilance.
Here’s the links to the desk and treadmill I personally use. I paid a little bit extra for a walking pad that aesthetically fit with my decor because to me it’s worth it.
